![]() This is the process for setting up a Dial-up Networking connection in Microsoft Windows Millennium. It is nearly identical to Windows 98 process, just slightly more advanced. Double-click on "My Computer" icon. In Windows Millennium, Dial-up Networking has now been moved to the "Control Panel". Double click the control panel icon. Double click the "Dial-up Networking" icon. ![]() Double-click on "Make New Connection" ![]() This wizard is the same as in Win98. Just enter the information as usual here... ![]() And here... ![]() Click on "Finish" to close the wizard. ![]() Back in the "Dial-up networking" folder, Right-click on the connection you just made. This will take you to the configuration option screen. The first tab "General" is the same as Win98. ![]() Click on the "Networking" tab (In Win98 this was called Server Types). In a remarkable improvement, by default the correct settings are checked. ![]() Click on the "TCP/IP settings" button. This will take you to the familiar screen. ![]()
![]() There are no options to be set in "Scripting" or "Multilink", leave these two screens as they are. Go straight to the "Dialing" tab. These options can be configured to the customers requirements if necessary. ![]() That's it. Click "OK" to finish. |
